I’m still there. But unfortunately no the miles haven’t improved at all. I average about 1,500 a week. But with my record this is it for me. For now at least.

Only for teams. For solo it’s just midwest, south, & southeast. I get some long runs but mostly 300-500 miles with appointments set days out.

How about calling his safety department dumb ### people? There is always a sign YIELD at each entrance ramp. They must even stop if unable to find entry space and wait for the chance. Now, slowing down the travel lane abruptly to let them in is a safety risk.

I don't disagree. I know how it's supposed to go....I see things for how it is, and the majority of motorists don't pay attention to yield signs. That's why we are professional drivers. We truckers unfortunately are held to a higher standard and have to think for other motorists. There are times where I have to decide whether to keep speed or slow down. I often decide to slow down because I always anticipate a vehicle merging simply because they ran out of real estate on that acceleration lane, or they aren't paying attention. It's really not an abrupt stop, for me. It's just getting off the cruise and slowing a little bit.

That’s what I do as well. No slamming on breaks or coming to complete stops, just slow down a bit to let them on. Rather do that than let them hold me in the middle lane while a bunch of others behind them do the same while I set there with my right turn signal on hoping someone will let me back over. Meanwhile billy big rigger in his 100mph 379 is two inches off my dot bumper. Not worth all that nonsense.

If I’m doing 60 on a 55 posted road I feel absolutely ZERO compulsion to make way so some a-hole can fly by at 80 mph.

I feel the same way but what I fear is that a-hole will get so angry & try & run us both off the road into a ditch just to prove a point. A lot of these super truckers are mentally unstable & will put everyone’s lives at risk, especially with a mega carrier driver involved. I just try my best to stay out of their way for the the safety if myself & others on the road. They’ll eventually put themselves in a ditch, hopefully alone.
