While I think it's a good idea, anything to increase your chances of being seen is good, HOWEVER, if someone isn't looking or staring at a phone, or sleeping, it doesn't matter if you are wearing an orange billboard. If I ever did anything that had traffic coming at me, I always kept 1 eye out, just in case I had to run.:biggrin_25524:

my company has saftey yellow t-shirts that many of us wear so we dont need to wear the vest. Problem is they dont have reflectors some shippers requier....also safty yellow gets dirty pretty easy when working with rusty chains.

How do you expect them to wear safety vests when the vast majority dont know about the triangles anymore?

Saw a driver the other day on I-40 on the shoulder. One triangle about 10 feet back, another perhaps 20 feet further back.....and the third one 10 feet off the front bumper.

Hi TripleSix, boy, you got that right. In all my years of trucking, I don't think I've ever seen 2 truckers that did it right. I've seen so many variations, I couldn't list them all here. 100 ft. behind truck, 10 ft. behind truck, 100 ft. in front of truck.:biggrin_25512:

    48Packard Thanks this.

Half the trucks you see on the shoulder with the hood up wont have the triangles out.
