Is your driving record spotless?
Is your criminal record spotless.
Do you have ANY DUIs in the last 10 years?
Do you have numerous gaps in employment over 30 days in your job history?
Can you complete a 3 years job history form?

You need all of that to get a job at a decent employer, which requires A LOT of research. If your record(s) isn't spotless you are really wasting your time and someone's money getting a CDL now. THERE IS NO DRIVER SHORTAGE.
I recommend you hold off even deciding which CDL school to attend until you find the employer that hires newbies and that fits you FIRST. If you were missing an arm you shouldn't first enroll and pay for juggling school and only later, say 6 months after finishing such a school and with no job offers then start asking if juggling was the career you should jump into.
