Hey all! So I recently, (Thursdays -2/28) graduated from the Sage Technical school in Endicott, NY. My, my, my... that was by far one of the best driver training schools I could have ever imagined being at. I suppose my first reason for stating this is I passed my road test first try with getting very little points off. The instructors know exactly what they are talking about (key is you have to listen and it helps if you know what mistakes you made- haha).
Okay so first two weeks were all in class. Chairs were uncomfortable, other than that, I enjoyed it. Then we started with the truck driving, but they have you do a few drives on the 'range'. I used this time to practice my alley docking, blind side alley docking, off-set backing (essentially anything that could have been done for backing, I did, only because the instructors knew what I was doing, seeing as how I grew up around trucks and my dad being an O/O). So whether lots or little experience, you learn what the hell you are doing by the time you hit the road. ALL OF THIS IS 1 ON 1 TRAINING.
So the instructors, they are AWESOME. I enjoyed having them teach me and we were all able to joke around and shoot the ####. They are really laid back and really care about what you have to fix. Like if you feel uncomfortable in a tight situation or panic easily, they help to walk you through the issue (never happened to me).
So my overall rating is 4.9/5 solely because of the uncomfortable chairs in the class room. Basically, if you are in the NE and interested in truck driving, I would HIGHLY recommend Sage in Endicott, NY. It would be foolish if you didn't check them out!
(I realize this review is very bland, but any questions definitely ask me. I don't know what others may want to read/not read.)
