Unfortunate but true, it's one thing to fill in on p&d as a systems driver here and there, but the day I am told that I have to go to P&D permanently, I am done, it's ridiculous how much the P&D drivers are scrutinized.
Saia linehaul? Anyone have any information about them?

Drivers that need to be “scrutinized” should be replaced.
-
How is the equipment at Saia?
-
They have good trucks. They’re always updating the fleet with new trucks. I have a buddy that still works there and he only complains about management and safety guys.
-
Ok yeah ,wrong choice of word, they are not being "examined or inspected closely and thoroughly".
-
They do have new trucks coming into the fleet, but depending probably on what terminal you are at, and if you are linehaul or P&D will determine what you are put in, new trucks go straight to linehaul, the older and higher mileage trucks are pulled off linehaul and rotated to P&D, example at the terminal I am domiciled at we still have 2005 Volvos in the system that are used for P&D.brian991219, bentstrider83 and Bob Dobalina Thank this.
-
What’s the starting and top pay for linehaul?
-
That will depend on the terminal and what kind of runs they have.
Linehaul guys tend to do better out west, where terminals tend to be more spread out. -
.57 cpm/$21.63 hr starting, .66cpm/$28.62 hr current top out.bentstrider83 and brian991219 Thank this.

What’s the pay for Reddaway linehaul. I’ve actually called to see and nobody could give me the answer. I hear they are low or else I’d be there in a heartbeat.
