Samlex 1500 inverter problem

    My truck got an APU and an inverter called Samlex 1500, I can use it for like a couple of hours, then it will not work, it flashes red light and no power is drawn, when it works, it has green light that stay lit, then after a couple of hours it will go flashing red for like 8-10 hours then it will work again for another couple of hours, why is it doing that? I mean I got an APU which can constantly gives it power, is it pre-programed to do that because it thinks that I have no APU? If so how can I change it so it will run all the time?

    It would be great if you could tell from a manual what the flashing red light meant! Is it low voltage, high temperature, too high a load? Those are the 1st 3 that come to my mind.
