    PFJ had decided to exit the sit down restaurant business. They sold the restaurants to Denny's corporate who in turn sold them to individual franchisees. Denny's paid PFJ somewhere around $250k for each location and agreed to pay PFJ 7% of the restaurant gross as rent. Was a sweet deal for PFJ. And still is.

    Warren Buffet bought 38% of PFJ in 2018 with an agreement to increase his share to 80% in 2023. Going to be interesting if he will keep Jimmy on.

    Do you assume it’s a false alarm and continue to lather? The showers are on the opposite side of the building so you have some time. Or do you assume it’s a real fire and beat wet feet out of there?

    Excellent..... best way to do it. Now sweep it up into a dust pan & start over. Having to demolish half the building after a fire is expensive. Sweep & go. They'll be rebuilding in a matter of weeks if that's their plan.

    Sorry, guys. The cook at Denny's bet me that deep-fried s'mores couldn't be done because of the marshmallow, and when the makeshift napalm started spraying out of the fryer...not ONLY did we burn down the building, I lost the bet AND had to make boring, STANDARD s'mores for the first responders.

    A terrible day all around.
