Fwiw, one of the local trucking companies in El Paso had a trailer full of new Electrolux appliances stolen from their yard. Just an idea of what goes on in border towns.

Geez wonder what the drivers deductible was? UGH!!! When I was still in HHG's,criminals were too LAZY to steal from our trailers!! Lmao! Too much work!
-
LOL!!! You got a point!!! What could POSSIBLY go wrong????? LOL!!!
Thanks! -
I work for a small "Mom and Pop" so I have a lot of self discretion "WITHIN REASON". But the Downside is, no terminal's or drop-yards. So I'm on my own as far as parking goes. So I usually am stuck with some form of TS. Sometimes good, Sometimes bad. But it all works out.
And a "King-pin lock" was one of my first purchases. Because it gets monotonous (?) and limiting to drag a trailer around everywhere. Thank God, I can leave it behind sometimes!!!

It's on the list as one. Diving OTR I've noticed alot that Pilot/ Flying J have "obtained" lately. Some are absolute DIVES!!!

I hope they remodel them soon!!!

on a 34 I at least get a room for one night,if you go that rout see if you can check 9n early and head to old town, lots of fun
FEELTHEWHEEL and All-American82 Thank this. -
Barona you would need to bobtail, windy road up hill, and out of the way. Nice casino if you have time. Hotels on East main street in El Cajon with room to park on the street if staying at one of the few hotels. Small area with some riff raff, but not to bad.

I live in Eastlake, 7 miles north of the Pilot. I've left my truck with vacuum tank and all its hoses, fittings etc along the sides. Never had an issue. In Otay there are plenty of streets where one can park. What that area lacks is hotels. The Walmart just north of the Pilot (125 toll road) has plenty of space to park your rig (no over night). A plus is that you also have Home Depot and a large mall within walking distance.
I realize the OP was likely there a few weeks ago, but some of you may find this useful -
Yeah I used to love that T/S in Sturbridge,Ma then pilot came in and bought it,and closed the nice restaurant down.
