    Scenario: Company driver assigned new equipment & is unfamiliar with trailer load suspension.

    Strategy: Load light on the first attempt; load exact on the second attempt.

    Example: First pass at 45psi trailer load suspension scaled out at 36,000 lbs.

    45 = PSI = 48 psi needed for a full load.
    36 = 40

    Calculator Entry: 45 x 40 ÷ 36 = 48

    Haven't tried this... just woke up, had a cig & thought all of this crazy **** up. Will give it a try at some point.

    I'm not a math whiz, but 45/36 = 5/4. Therefore, I assume X/40 should be 50/40.

    45 x 40 ÷ 36 = 50

    Another way is how many lbs per psi?
    36,000 ÷ 45 = 800
    40,000 ÷ 800 = 50 (assuming equal and level loading)

    RockinChair and Highway Hypnosis Thank this.
