Don't drive into sand if you can help it. If you must, get out and walk it first. I will leave any further advice to those with more experience then me.

I parked in this sand trap last night too but I did not get stuck. I stopped on the pavement first and checked for the best path. Then I locked my diff and kept nice even pressure on the throttle.

These guys took the worst possible path into it and dug in. The white Volvo with the orange trailer tried dropping his trailer to get free. He did and got back under but now he can't hook onto the trailer because of the uneven ground.

What advice do the veterans have? 20151112_084423.jpg 20151112_084515.jpg

    Advice: Stay out of sand!

Or look for a path someone else made and use it.

If there is a path through it I doubt it's quicksand.

I'd like to know that one myself. And why trucks are even dumb enough to get in there.

I'm not a veteran, but I think if it has street tires on it, it should probably stay on the street. Just a guess, though.
