How did someone take his hood off at the fuel island?
Especially a flying J with those huge round bollards

    D.Tibbitt Thanks this.

He had pulled through the fuel island and parked. A truck could actually fuel behind him, but would have to back out.
It was not at a J either, it was a small truckstop, that had a huge parking lot at Meridian Ms.

D.Tibbitt, bzinger and GlobalFM001 Thank this.

That's happened on purpose a few times. I witnessed it one time. Jerks blocking the fuel island deserve it.

Woodys, Eowyn, D.Tibbitt and 1 other person Thank this.

Back in the day, in the worst 6 months of my career with J.B. ****, I had to pull into a microscopic rest area in NH. It was packed with snow, trucks were parked at every angle, and I nosed in as far as I possibly could and collapsed after having been up for *ahem* hours.

I wake up and the morning has come, the snow has partially melted, and a bunch of the trucks that were there last night have left. As I'm doing my pre-trip, I see scrawled in the road grime on my rear doors: IM A DUM ##S I CANT PARK STRAIT

Leaving aside that whoever did that couldn't spell above a second grade level(who's the dumb arse?), they didn't know the whole story. Before you get your shorts in a knot, you might want to consider that.

    Knucklehead and D.Tibbitt Thank this.

That's different from blocking the fuel islands.
I've also done what you did; can't be helped when there's a foot of ice & snow covering everything.

Believe me, I understand the frustration toward those drivers.
I am one of those drivers. But in my defense I drive nights and there’s no parking when I stop for my 30 and some food.
However the few times my schedule gets flipped I despise the drivers the park at the fuel pump when there’s a line of trucks and go inside to take their 30

D.Tibbitt, bzinger and Chinatown Thank this.
