I liked Sirius but only listened to 6 channels. The first time I paid for a year and then cancelled when it expired. It took them 2 years to turn it off. The same with my niece. I bought her one and she got more free service than I did.

Then the next time I hooked it up, I paid month to month with auto-pay. When I cancelled that time, they cut it off right away and continued to bill my card for three months even though I called and raised cane. I forget now, but I remember it took a long time to get a refund.

Sirius is the better package, I've had it since Howard Stern came on board. Since the merger, they allow you to get the best of XM or Sirius (Depending on which service you have). I bought a GM vehicle and had only the option of XM with the Sirius add-on. I prefer Sirius, only because I know the channels, and I didn't have to pay any extra for "Best of", as there was nothing on XM I wanted to hear.

Beware of the Lifetime! The unit in my wives van is lifetime, not a big deal as its a pioneer stereo that we will remove if we sell the car or transfer lifetime to another unit (I believe you get 3 upgrades), BUT! What they don't tell you is, IF YOU BUY A FREAKIN GM VEHICLE AND BUY A LIFETIME SUBSCRIPTION AND SELL THE CAR, THE NEW OWNER HAS A LIFETIME SUBSCRIPTION! Unless they are an idiot and try to add there name or something, then the will cancel it out. If the stereo is a factory In-dash, you cannot upgrade, period. If you don't believe me, call SiriusXm and ask.

Like the programing, hate the scam.....

Haha.... Done with the rant. Go with Sirius.... :biggrin_2551:

How would you get the lifetime plan? Looking on their website they don't mention a lifetime plan. Is it a plan you can only see by being a current subscriber? Mostly I'm interested in the cost of the lifetime plan if anyone could tell me.

No more lifetime. I have XM love it they merged so got all the channels plus all sports. I have had 3 or 4 or the portable type units and always had signal issues with that little mouse attena. Got me a truck with the stereo that has the xm built into and let me tell you this one works the best..........
