    Everyone talks about making money.

I prefer to talk about expenses.

If you got a trip that is 1200 miles at .50 a mile you get X dollars gross. Take away 40% for withholding, your trip should no more than three days, eat on 20.00 a day. Thats 60 total. Put away the rest of the money.

To every load you run short or many miles do the same thing.

Once a week indulge in a proper meal that has greens or other things your body needs to stave off scurvy and other issues due to malnutrition. etc.

Refrigerator and a way to heat food.
Make food at home, freeze portioned servings.
Get fruits, vegetables and snacks at a grocery store.

Make your own coffee in the truck. Get yourself a fridge, microwave, and an electric skillet. You might want to invest in an inverter (1800 watts or higher). Check YouTube for installation. Cook food for the next 4 days or so to save time.

Avoid going to Walmart or the grocery store often. The further you put it out, the more you can save in the long run. Make a list in your phone, and only shop what you have in your list. This prevents you from going through every isle in the store where you’ll pick up things you had not planned. The list will also save you time. Many of the items you add to your list are going to be regular items. Do not erase those once you have finished shopping as you’ll eventually add it again in the near future.

Instead of buying crappy sryup in walmart (Relatively speaking) get a load to maine or Vermont etc in season, buy a case in one of their little General stores. Store most of it at home take only what you will use. You might discover the price to be lower than the usual corn based crap.

We get ours from Mississippi. But someday we will go back east and make a run up there for more.

Even if you work one of your 1st meal of the day you can save 50 to 60$ a wk. by just keeping a box of cereal and milk to eat instead of spending 10 to 14$ a day going inside to eat (after this deal is over that is )?

An inverter and a small crock pot works really well.

If you are single with no kids and drive OTR, then sell all your #### and live in your truck..I did this my 1st year I paid off $10k in credit cards and saved $40k in cash. It's how I started my MC. Honestly I could have saved a hell of a lot more but I ate at the truck stops most of the time because it was a way to get out of the truck for a bit..
