I go through Portland, OR on my way to and from my desk job every day. Hopefully that'll soon change to where I can get on the road but, I digress..

I was driving down Columbia Blvd just South of the river, lot's of trucking companies, dealers, etc. down there. I see a white Suburban PULLING a 48 passenger School bus hooked to it with nothing but a tow bar. He came bouncing out of a vacant lot, bus looked like it had been in the bottom of a river somewhere..

There's no way he could see anything coming up beside or behind him as he only had standard passenger car mirrors.. No DOT or MC number on the Suburban, no oversize load or anything. No extended mirrors.. Headin for I-5..

Glad I was headin the opposite direction.

That can be scary and unsafe but travel the world and you will see much more. OX being hauled on a Motorcycle side car, or a Hog tied to a back of a Bicycle or entire family of 6 on one seat Motorcycle. Yes I seen these.

I hate being around those guys hauling junk cars to Mexico, especially with three in tandem. The brakes are overworked with just one car in tow but add two?

I'd like to know how it's legal to pull two? I thought you could only pull one, but then again, you look who's driving those, and they don't pay much attention to laws.

Have you noticed they are getting creative lately? They're gutting the interior of school buses and small Isuzu trucks and shoving several, cars n there, with the arses hanging out. Ugh :biggrin_25510:
