All in the same day on 80 in Nevada..

A UPS truck with only one of it's little triples. Pulling a *GASP* Swift 53!

Then, swear to God, a few hours later, pulling out of a TA.. Red CR England company truck pulling a Swift trailer.

Is this a new thing to battle the driver shortage? It was like watching a zebra breed a goat out in the wild.

Anyone else witness these "Unlikely hook-ups" out there on the freeway?

You'll see a lot of that during busy holiday seasons. It's not unusual. When I worked for YRC reefer division we pulled lots of Swift dry vans because we didn't have but a few dry vans.

Many Walmart loads are with Swift trailers, and sometimes there are not enough Swift drivers to handle the capacity.

I think it goes deeper than business as usual. UPS and CRE do not share DBs like WM and SWIFT with offices on site.

If we start seeing more and more of this something bigger is going on.. The spice must flow.

During peak season UPS rents tons of trailers.
    Some of them being Swift.
