pretty damning evidence from jailhouse tapes on visits to Casey from her family asking where is Caylee?

Apparently, this party girl was not brought down by the death of her daughter.

She's wearing the US flag as a dress in some of these photos. Against the 1942 US Flag code and very disrespectful.

Wendy Murphy told NBC Today show that Casey Anthony will get off ...

I think that 99.99999 of America is not amused with this verdict.

While I agree it was a difficult case to prosecute, it was or should have been much more difficult to defend. I think in the end, it's more a case of a bunch of azzhat's on the jury were p!ssed because they had to deliberate over a holiday where they could get trashed and set off explosives. So rather than write off the rest of their week or longer in deliberations, they decided that getting out of the box was more important.

A competent jury intent on getting the verdict right, isn't going to come to a conclusion in this kind of a case without days and maybe weeks of deliberation. What'd these twits take...24 hours, tops?

Guilty of 1st degree murder, life imprisonment (not the death penalty).

    Justice served.

Instead, a child killer goes free. I hope she goes out to celebrate, gets drunk, passes out in a swamp, and a gator eats her.

    Slowly.

Did you hear her sleazebag lawyer in his presser afterwards? "I saved a life today!"

    :puke:

Makes me friggen' sick. That twisted evil POS kills her 2 year old daughter and the lawyer puts a notch in his belt for saving her life. Never mind the 2 year old that was murdered.

You want to see the failures of our justice system ~ hell, our entire nation for that matter ~ in action, look no further than that.

I have to correct you as this is a pet-peeve of mine. This isn't a failure of our justice system, but a win due to how the constitution is laid out. You're innocent until proven guilty, not guilty until proven innocent.

If that were the case, you’d be right. But it’s not the way it is anymore and you know it. Today, it’s who can corrupt who on what jury and which lawyer can be the sleaziest. I’m well aware of what our country was founded on. Unfortunately, that was tossed out in the trash a long time ago.

I could come to your house and wipe out your entire family and if I got the right lawyer, I’d be walkin’ the streets in no time. And if my lawyer was really sleazy, he’d get the crime pinned on the autistic handyman that mows lawns in your neighborhood during the summer and shovels the walks in the winter.

That’s how it’s done in America today and why I made the point that I did.

Cynical? #### straight. And for the most recent reason for that jaded cynicism, you don’t have to look any further than this most recent debacle of a trial.

But hey, let's look at the positive here...her lawyer saved a life! :puke:

It is no longer a "justice system", if it ever was. It is a "legal system".

If you would take away your early verdict....you know the one that convicted her.....why(?)....because the Sheriff Dept. arrested her, because the DA "said" she did it, because she is a compulsive liar, because she is a product of a very dysfunctional family.....and really take a close look at the circumstantial evidence......something is missing......oh yes physical, factual, positive proof that she actually did kill her daughter.

The duct tape.....yeah that is physical proof....one small problem....the tape was still sticking to bone...not flesh, or fatty tissue, or sinew....bone! How did the undisturbed glue (the sticky part duct tape has) not contain elements of flesh or fat....they couldn't answer that, could they(?)!

The Chloroform? What chloroform....they didn't produce any toxicology from either the remains or the interior of the car/trunk indicating a high enough residue to register to a lethal level....what's the half life of chloroform(?)....no answer to that either.

The trauma? What trauma...none showing on any bones, no reports of abuse from mother to daughter....again no proof, no evidence.

The whole family is a product of compulsive behavior, and compulsive lying! Mother, on the witness stand rebuts her own story, changes her story, several times....for what...to save her daughter from the death chamber cause she already lost a grand daughter? The whole family, knowing the daughter is a compulsive liar...waits a whole month (or was it 6 weeks) before calling in to 911? Because suddenly the trunk of the car "smells like death"? What does "death" smell like? I have some experience with death...medic and mortuary....just what does death smell like....no two bodies I can recall smelled the same....and without opening the trunk to check....."it smelled like death"....give me a break!

the State had no business charging her, arresting her, and trying her....they had no physical, tangible evidence. Especially in FL you can't convict on circumstance....you need proof....not supposition, PROOF. the DA needed to be able to tell the jury...."this is how she died, this is how she did it." The prosecution was no better than the stories and fictitious people she made up in her lies....the prosecution did the same thing.

The jury was right to acquit...the State did not prove their case! She was over charged, the jury was allowed no latitude with a conviction...they were told basically....all or nothing.....

TF....you yourself have chastised others here on this forum about laying blame on a driver (Wyoming on I-80) without having all the facts....so what makes this any different? The media has had Casey convicted since before they put the handcuffs on her after the Grand Jury indicted her. The media was a big part of this screw up...all the way through. Now she walks basically unscathed except for 4 counts of lying to investigators....she will probably walk out of jail on Thursday...she has already done 3 years time....the lying if run concurrent only amounts to 4 years....with credit for time served, and credit for "good behavior" in the jail....she has already done her time most likely!
