UGGG, a painful update

Called FreightLiner this morning and got word that the truck would be ready on Monday.... so I go extend my stay at the Super 8.... before I get back to my room, road breakdown calls me, saying to pull the truck from the shop, and drive it to the Jackson Terminal in Mississippi. So, after waiting for road breakdown to pay for the diagnostics, (a couple hours later), now I am waiting for a dispatch with a LIGHT load that will route me back to the Terminal.

did I mention before that I am in Maryland?..lol

So whats up with the truck?

Well, concerning my cruise control, my Vehicle Interface Harness needs to be replaced.

Concerning the Exhaust leak... my flexpipes need to be replaced.

Concerning the horrible fuel mileage, smoking, overheating, oil leak, and lack of power..... the turbo unit itself is good, but it is so far out of calibration that vales are stuck open allowing oil to get through, and the turbo is simply NOT working the way it should...

Why did the company want me to drive to Mississippi? Because FL wants $5000, and KLLM wants to save the money having their techs work on it... (which I completely understand)

so.... in the hotel room awaiting a morning load. If the unthinkable happens and the engine blows up (because of the stress/load/and the 960 mile trip.... then I will end up getting towed in, and will get a loaner truck until my truck gets fixed RIGHT.
