I'm pretty sure my turbo is shot as well. Last time I blew one I told them for three months it was bad and they ignored me. I finally put my foot down and they sent it over to Detroit Diesel who kept it overnight. I went to pick it up the next morning and as I was going out the door I turned and asked them "By the way...what WAS wrong with it?"....."Oh...the turbo was blown. We had to put a new one on."
I went back and MADE the shop supervisor tell me, out loud, in the middle of the shop that, yes, it HAD been the turbo. How mean of me, eh?
But, oh yes, there will be FULL diagnostics run on it and the problem WILL be fixed before I leave there. The alternative is too ugly to contemplate....
I'm making my list and checking it twice as to what problems this truck is having....

ROADTOAD69, you say the belt on your APU is shredding, check to see if there's a bracket or cover that may be rubbing up against it, also if the belt is lose it could be flapping up against something when running, so if you can not see anything amiss when the unit is off, then start that puppy up and look at that belt, you may need a flash light and don't get your hair got in there, that won't be a good thing

Update Time.....
sitting at the Jackson Terminal getting geared up for lease purchase class.
Bert found me a temporary truck to run for the last 9-10 days, so I just got done with a 3100 mile outing.
Which isnt bad considering 600 miles were on the last 2 days of the previous week AND they had to keep me pretty close because of having to be back for lease class.
2500 is nothing to sneeze at considering 2 of those days (thanksgiving and the day before) I only drove 150 miles....
And I decided to choose this truck to lease. its a 2007 Columbia with 612k miles. I ran it hard the last week and it runs good, no problems, and pulls hard. Hoping to have it paid off in less than a year. We will see what the lease paperwork says.
Got laundry going, and now my stomach is growling.... see ya'll soon.AF461, The Challenger, 123456 and 1 other person Thank this. -
