Personally, for my my motto has always been work smart, not hard. There are lots of loads over $5/mi. They are shorter runs, but the take away is you burn less fuel and less time fighting traffic. Also, less wear and tear on your truck. If you can do a 100 mile run for $700, why wold you want to do a 300 mile run for $700?
Its better in my opinion to establish yourself in one geographical area for more money than running natonwide, unless travelling long distance is what you want. Nothing wrong with that. Just not a lot of loads over $3/mi on the long runs.Lone Ranger 13 Thanks this. -
lets see, when I get done on the 17th I will take home $11200.00 total miles will be 1845ish. I guess I'm doing it wrong!! that's after sitting for 9 days. with an old wore out 1999 truck.
