Scale house forcing drivers to pay fine on the spot or else

    well even if the load was shifted it will just be over weight at lets say the drives, but it can not be 4000 lbs more on the gross weight.

    There is no scale houses in NY state so it probably wasn't there.

    PA only has one that's ever open...I-80 MM 54 on the eastbound side. (Westbound is never open.)

    PA and NY use portables. I've gone across portables countless times in PA. Not yet in NY. Have seen them set up though on 87.

    Yes they were portables. I remember they deducted 4% from their weight (charged 96% of what they weighed)

    I was told I had to pay an overgross fine on the spot in IL several years ago. Scale man got a funny look on his face when I said 800 dollars are you sure. Feller I could come up with a million just as easy, and trust me that ain't happenin. So tell me what's the grub like down there cause yalls gone have feed me while I sit it out.

    I've seen them on the side of the road, but every time I'd go by, there wouldn't be anyone around. I just figured they were some relic of some sort. :cool:

    I got an over axle ticket at effingham a few years ago and it was pay on the spot, also that wb 80 scale at the 54 in penn is open from time to time .
