when I pay an overweight ticket, or whatever they are called when you fail an inspection, where does the money go?
does it go into the states pocket? the roads fund? back into the FMCSA's pocket to pay their bills (which seems a bit crooked)
where does it go?
if this is a vauge question I apologise, I just thought about this, and I don't feel like intentionally getting a ticket just to ask
scale tickets, where do they go

Those are all great questions.I imagine some of that money goes to build and improve weigh stations. We're such good truckers to help the DOT out.

I was under the impression that commercial ticket fines went to the donut fund.

That's a good guess but I'm thinking the revenue from the tickets would be just a small drop in a very large bucket.........

No matter where the money ends up it goes out of your pocket..I figure I am beating the system when I keep everything straight aand they don't have a reason to give me a ticket,,Just thing if everyone ran legal and never had an equipment violation all the cops would get laid off
