I've gotten into Dart/Highway sales and Leased a New 2007 Freightliner From Dart/ Highway sales. When Other Drivers Tell you that they Starve you. Please believe them. I have proof they only dispatch out enough miles to cover daily fixed expense and enough for your fuel only. nothing left to take home to your family. the trucks are a piece of ####. my truck has been in the shop for 2 1/2 weeks and i'm in the hole with Dart. talked to dispatch they said I needed to be placed on a budget my wife told them how much more of a budget could I use when there is no money to bring home. and when I asked for $50.00 advance and use $8.50 to weigh my wagon they said no advances allowed. but then send me an EFS for $10.00 and no money for food. I agree with other Post about Dart. They need to be investigated and Sued for Scamming Drivers. I don't recommand drivers to talk with Dart about driving for them.
If you do stop and talk with other Drivers of Dart and see what they Say. you will see that Long time drivers of Dart are looking for other companies, so if drivers of long time with Dart is seeking other jobs else where what does that say for Dart???
Scammed By DART TRANSIT/HIGHWAY SALES.

Sorry to hear that..And that is not the first case I have heard about them..
superflow Thanks this. -
My husband was with Dart three different times, with three different lease trucks and running three different lanes. We still went under. The trucks are pieces of crap, and you get no miles. There is no money coming home, and they spread their freight around to please you for three months then it's all over. After 3 months kiss your ##$ goodbye cuz you are going down. We turned in our truck after the 2nd engine rebuild (no lie) I drove from Wisconsin to Indiana to pick up my broken spirited, wore out hubby at Stoops Freightliner in Indy. After a couple of months, we recieved a call from Diamler Chrysler looking for their truck payments! It seems no one from Dart has corresponded with them about the truck being brought back. Also, there is a co-signer on the lease...Who was that? we never asked anyone to co-sign for us! It was the previous owner of the truck that Dart put on our lease as a co-signer!. I know...what balls! The bottom line is that they will starve you and your family hauling their cheap dry freight! You will never make any money hauling dry freight that can go on a train. The rates are just too cheap and there is too much competition. Haul refrigerated instead, it's consistaint and better rates.

THREE TIMES WITH THE SAME COMPANY????????????????????? DID I HEAR THAT RIGHT?
I'm sorry you got screwed! but the classical definition of insanity comes to mind here. -
Yeah one would think that would define insanity, but he really did not get screwed until the sons took the company over and drove it into the ground. He worked for them at a time when they required 10 years experience and a decent co. Decided to leave due to health reasons, went back and they put him on a dedicated run. Not many miles, and so switched back to a longer run. So it seems like 3 times to me...LOL

How do you toast 2 engines in 3 months?
-
I'm not a big fan of the Fleace. Why don't you just buy a truck.
Schneider is in Wi and they will also sell and finance you a truck used or new. Also they are still hiring experienced drivers. Company driver, Forced dispatch or pick your own loads. A 2007 Freightshaker should have been pretty good +fair mpg.
Right now you will need to dig yourself out of the hole you have dug. -May take a few years. +stay away from those new DPF trucks <2008. As an owner or fleasor you really need to baby that truck until you pay it off. -
This is response to "biggrin how do you toast 2 engines in 3 months" We certainly didn't mistreat it. It was a Mercedes engine an automatic on top of it. It just did not last, who knows how it was treated before we had it. I think the rebuild co. did a shoddy job as well. I'm glad we don't own a truck right now. I just got a new job with packerland transport helping them schedule their LTL multi drop loads along with my college classes in the evenings that keeps me busy. I just received my supply chain management certificate and working towards my associates prob. one more year then i'll be done. Hubby has a dedicated with outbound cheese from wi. to ga. then of course chicken to wisconsin as a backhaul. home each weekend, making better money than ever before and his blood pressure has gone down considerably. Never know what the future holds, when the kids are grown we might i say might get into the owner/operator thing again depends on how bad i hate the cubicle scene we'll buy one next time.
good luck to you and God bless. -
You say you were scammed by Dart, how?
Did they manufacture the truck? No freightliner did.
Did they finance the truck? No Daimler did.
Did they offer you loads to haul? Yes.
How many did you turn down?
Why? did they not go where you like go?
Did they provide a trailer and all permits at no cost? Yes
Did they pay all tolls but ks, did the pay for scale tickets? Yes
Tell me how thing would have been different if you got a truck at a dealers lot?
Some may think my questions harsh and uncalled for, the same people would lie to their doctor and blame him for their illness -
We were scammed by Dart because they are partners with Diamler Chrysler. I went rounds with both of the managers at diamler and at dart. They work together to lease and re-lease trucks with co-signers that are unknown to the upcoming lessee which is illegal. They offered us loads yes, we turned down 0 loads. The loads that were offered were not enough miles to cover any other expenses than what the truck expenses were each week. We told them we would go anywhere. Do you work for dart? If you do I feel sorry for you. I am explaining this to you why? I'm not sure. I don't have enough space or time to go into this subject with the likes of you. All I know is that 4 months after the truck was turned in, I had some mis-informed idiot calling me asking where the truck was...you tell me why I posted this about Dart. Dart makes more money re-leasing trucks than they would ever make shipping their cheap dry freight.
