    some more x gauges
but I have doubt that scangauge reads data correct. why ? after setup I drove my truck and active regen started few hours latter. according to scangauge DOC outlet temp raised to 800 f and stayed there. as far as I know regen temp must be around 1000-1150 F.

Exhaust Temperature 1(F) <---DOC inlet temp.
Engine Exhaust Pressure 1(PSI) <----DOC inlet pressure
Diesel Particulate Filter Intake Temperature(F) <---DOC outlet Temp
Diesel Particulate Filter Intermediate Temperature(F) <---- DPF outlet temp
Diesel Particulate Filter Intake Pressure(PSI) <----DOC outlet pressure

Sounds about right to me. I get three different temps depending on the type or regen it is doing at the time.
I hardly ever see one in the summer, but in the winter I will see:
Almost daily, an active regen just about at 1,000 degrees.
Once a week a passive regen at 800 degrees for 2-1/2 hours.
Once a month, an extreme active regen of 1,130 degrees for 20 minutes. Or rather that was last winter on my old DPF filter, the new one this winter hasn't done the 1,130 degree regen at all.

let's clarify. By saying active regen do you mean parked regen and passive regen is the regen while you drive?

I have had the scan gauge D almost a year and it works great. I run boost, engine load, HP, and avg. mpg. I went from 6.9 average MPG to 7.6. Having the ability to see my boost and HP is essential to fuel efficiency.

Oh, not parked. That's what I see while driving.
But you're right, they usually mean active in the sense that you have to do something to initiate it.
I meant passive, it only modifies the turbo vanes and EGR valve to restrict flow somehow to increase the exhaust temp.
I mean active, in that it actually injects diesel fuel into the exhaust stream to get higher temps.

dd15 does not have turbo vanes. if doc inlet(or exhaust temp) temp is 620f how doc outlet temp can be 800f without burning fuel ? I have been explained the process different way. in both cases fuel is injected but quantity is different. When you have 800f doc outlet temp cleaning doc face and partially dpf is in progress. if you have 1000-1150f doc outlet temp full and deep dpf cleaning is in progress. I will hook up the dddl and drive it. I want to make sure fuel is injected when passive regen is going on.
I have setup scangauge D to read doc in and out temps, dpf outlet temp, def temp and level, egr valve position status. that's enough to monitor the regen process. now I can say its a cool tool and worth to have it in truck.

Yeah, I'm not sure exactly how it all works. I'm an old definition of a hacker, I just like to get into things that interest me and understand them enough that I'm able to save myself some time and money on occasion.
The important thing with being able to monitor these sensors with the scangauge is to get to know what numbers you usually see, so that if one day things foul up, you have an inkling of where the problem may be.
