In harsh south American countries like brazil where American trucks are freely available, what is the biggest selling manufacturer? Scania, who is the ONLY manufacturer in the world to still have half the trucks it ever produced still in active service? that's right you guessed it! And the manufacturer to supply over 50% of the worlds trucks over 600 hp? Yup it's scania again, Scania didn't succeed over there because they will not offer other makes of components in their product! They are far too refined to stick miss match components into them, so they know they won't succeed there but having said that scania engines are massive over there in industrial and marine guise !and besides if you wanna know what they are like just take a trip over here , you can drive mine, I mean you can afford it right?
and this clearly shows that you dont know about anything i i am born in bosnia and still have their citizenship, move overseas during war after this we move from CT to croatia being croatian and serbian is big difference
I can afford to take a trip over there but I can't drive a truck on the wrong side of the road with a steering wheel at the wrong place too.
you don' even know who you are. That's how Euro-Wonder is messed up today. I thought you are all for the socialist Yugoslavia under Tito?
there is plenty of old mercedes world wide here is my fathers first truck he bought it in 1972 it is 1970 here is his second truck and trucks like this and even older like this one still works and in some countrys they are still in production also from my family
Ahh it's no problem get used to the wrong side of the road and I could possibly organise a left-hand-drive for a day , or if you could go on short notice we could arrange to meet in Europe where you will be on the correct side for you
I followed the link and read all the comments. Seems the US drivers or O/O who had Scanias really liked them. The main article said they were too much truck for the US market. That's my experience as well. Just like Walmart is the top retailer , not because they sell the absolute best quality but because they are everywhere and have specked the price vs quality to best fit the market.
Wow! Cool, oh I know mercedes are a tough truck, no doubt about it! They just fell behind in driver comfort and were a little heavy on fuel but the newer ones are gorgeous and fuel problems are fixed, they are truly a great truck! I love those pics ! What model are those, we never had those here
first one is 2624 LK but i think it was crashed because it have 2623 cab second 2624LK last one is MAN 9168 this is big truck but 9 means payload not gross they used to have different model name than today and on this picture this truck behind is MAN 8156 from grandfather
