98989 Would loved to have that trailer when we drive those 19m or 24m pipes. Would be so much easier in the city. And about the b-double. They have a test in northern Sweden, 30m long and 90 ton [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4JSo9TKvJ0[/ame]
That is serious logging, savage rigs too, Christ those roads are tight! Icee, are those 30 meter rigs already in use in Norway?
It now seems as if Volvo now has King of the Road title....FH16 750 horsepower....for now at least http://www.truckingmag.co.uk/2011/09/08/volvo-unleases-750-bhp-fh16/
Yup that's true but the torque rating is only 50 nm more which is basically nothing, Volvo have always slapped on big hp badges with the actual pulling power being much less, they've never been great machines to pull, I've had some fh12's and 13's , great truck though! It won't take long for scania to respond I'm sure as the 730 engine is a detuned 900 hp industrial engine, it's interesting to see how far this race will go, I think the tranny is basically the limiting factor right now
That's true, we dynoed a 660 Volvo and it gave 600. Everything was in factory specs. Some stock Scanias gave more than factory rating on the same dyno. There's rumours about 780 Scania..
Wouldn't it make more sence if it was a tq race not a hp race? Tq pulls you up the hill faster hp just gives you speed.
places, where road I can see on pics are relatively good, but dangerouse. In Russia and Ukraine forest roads are more extreme. They cant haul so long wood, so thet have to cut it on place. Ok, some crazy video [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Of9_HfiVPDw[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u6lBig8gdfM[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MhZvRhXCb4c[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ENYSpk2tIQo&feature=related[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ENYSpk2tIQo&feature=related[/ame]
