Only 140 had the big Holset, or to be precise, big exhaust housing. 141 had the same type of turbo that was still used in early 143.
I'd like to have an early 140 with lights in the bumper and make it look like this
Scania v8 730hp

when i make comparison between 0 serie and other trucks it is not so bad but looks like in those years mercedes NG was far most modern truck cab maybe only scania have better sound isolation
only 0 series is 5year older than ng.... -
can you or maybe somebody else explain to me differences between 0 and 1 series
i am not very familiar with them at time when my father bought his firs 112 there was maybe max 10 scania here in croatia
in my neighborhood there was one Lb140 and one 111 6x2 with crane
at that time for parts which you maybe need you had to go in itally or in austria
we get first offical scania service in 1998
there was one company before who import parts
there was no mechanics capable to repair scania one our 112 never had decent brakes it was very dangerous to drive it without trailer -
different dashboard more inclined towards the driver ,two spoke steering wheel, interior materials, round headlights in the bottom of the cab not oval in bumper,rbp830 planetar wheelhubs..
some brochures

those 0/1 series cabs looks like they have lot of rust problems
is that problem because they mainly operate in north countries with lot of sale on roads or they are really problematic
here we consider man f7/8 cab most problematic in terms of rust
those 0/1 series looks like pretty spacious inside
so what was most advanced trucks from 1970s?
as for cab mercedes looks to me like most modern except noise inside you cant hear your own thoughts inside -
Most advanced cab in 70s? Volvo Globetrotter. 1977 or something. Engines and brakes, Scania. -
-
those old scanias chassis and axles looks very ancient to me even first generation of 2series ( up to 1982/3)
i know that those old volvos are hard to shift scania is like passenger car
i know that old 4s90/110/120 zf gearboxes are very sensitive on high input torques
so i guess scania had best drivetrain at that time
