Sometimes when starting over you need to steep back from a prior occupation that had you in charge of things everyday. The bad economy has sent many X-Drivers back to the road to put up with starting all over again. This is my case and many others. Knowing first hand that it s best to keep quiet at the start of training with a new trainer just to get it over with sooner.
I went with CRST, but this can apply to all trucking companies. Does not mean the companies are bad to work for. Placement with a company veteran does not always give the new driver right of passage to the open road. My 20 plus years, Local and OTR I have never been late with a load other than a few times with good reason. This might be common with trainers when a student asked to stop for a short wile, and the trainer will site safety as the reason for shutting down for a whole day and blame the student for the late load rather than moving on after a short time out. This happened often to me with my trainers at CRST. Not saying I never asked to stop for a short time, but am saying lets not stop all day so the trainers can F-off and blame students four late loads. This is a Scapegoat, has this been happening to you ?![]()
