Alright, I am stuck in Jacksonville FL while my trainer takes his hometime. I am to be here until Monday but really want to get the hell out of this hotel. There are prostitutes constantly pushing their way into my room, 2-3 inch long ####roaches chilling in my room, and a lot of shady looking people walking around the parking lot of this hotel trying to sell me drugs. I'm a small town boy from Mn and have never had to deal with the "ghetto" before. I have been miserable this past week dreading ####roaches and hookers invading my room. I know there is only the weekend left until my trainer returns but I am seriously sick of living like this in constant fear. Would it be worth requesting a new trainer? My situation is rather unique as I only have 17 more hours of training before my paid time off, so I wonder if they would get mad at me for getting a new trainer and then imidiately afterwards asking for my hometime. Someone please advise me, I am cowering in my truck scared to death and I will make the call tonight if needed. Thanks for any suggestions. I work for Werner btw. And if they ever ask you to stay in the Stars Rest Inn, in jacksonville.... tell them #### NO!!!!!

Call your driver manager and ask to be moved to a different hotel.

The hookers can only get in if you open the door.... get some good roach/wasp spray at Walmart... and call your support office.

Werner can't fix what they don't know about. Call them and tell them the conditions. Do your remaining 17 hours and then get a different trainer...unless you will be finished training by then. I don't know how Werner's program works.

Do you think werner would know if I'm running the APU? I would honestly feel bbetter in the truck because its sandwiched between two other trucks and I don't think anyone will #### with the truck if they hear the APU running. I just don't want to call and be told to quit whining or get fired.

Have you ask the trainer if there is another hotel?? If talking to him is an issue you should call a student coordinator and let them know your issue. You should be in a clean and safe place for the days off. When I was a trainer for them I would never leave a trainee at a location I wouldn't be willing to stay at.As far as the APU I do not know the answer to that, it would depend if it is monitored with the qualcom like the idle and speed of the truck is. Keep us updated.

17 hours left and you are considering a new trainer?

You don't know how to lock the door and stay in your room?

2-3" ####roaches? Those are Palmetto bugs, lol. Share your dinner with them, they don't bite.

What are you gonna do when people jump on your truck in Chicago or NYC?

If you are gonna truck you are going to have to toughen up some. There are many different cultures out there and you have to adapt to all of them.

If your life is eminent danger, you call 911.

No they don't track APU usage. Stay in the truck if it'll make you feel better.
