Hey guys.. Well I'm scared Togo to CDL school mainly for one reason.. Failing, I'm sure that's everyone's fear.. But I'm thinking more depth than just Failing.. If I fail I don't have a CDL, I won't have a job, and on top of it all I'll owe lots and lots of money for a loan for no reason:/ so! Can someone kind of tell me the good things and stuff? The job I work at I back up a long trailer with a fully truck long bed and four cab.. I didn't back it up the first try obviously but over time I got it and now I can do it eaaassyyy without a problem.. So is it the same way with trucking? Just takes time and practice? 2-4 weeks just seems a little short for practice tho.. I'm not comparing the two trucks by the way, I know their TOTALLY different sizes

That wasn't even necessary to say a thing like that.

Why are you worried you'll fail? You need to go in with a positive attitude. There are many schools out there and will not let you fail and will work with you till you pass and get your CDL.So don't worry about losing all that money.Only way that'll happen is if you quit and I know you're better then that.

    Wow! Smh..

It's not that difficult to get your CDL..(Why are you waiting 7 months?) they teach you what you need to know. . Then your training starts.

The hardest thing I've found. .

Learning to have patience. Patience with everything and everyone. . Being in a hurry will do you absolutely no good.

Ignore that other guy in the post above..Must be having a bad day. .good luck.

yes, don't be lazy on the parts you need to memorize. it seems like a lot but easier if you break it into smaller bits. Listen to the instructors, really work hard and study at home and you will make it. You are right, 2-4 weeks is not really enough time. That's why, right away after school, you get started with one of the "training companies" that hire from school and pair you up with an experienced trainer. After your first successful year on the road you can easily move to a local job, or move up to training and make more money, or maybe even get your own truck and make a lot of money. Good Luck!

Even trained monkeys can drive. I saw them at a circus in Thailand.
