I get that but they should spend more time training on turns they can and cannot make and not send them to tight places until they get some experience. I don't blame the driver, I blame the training.

Of course I've been driving longer than most of these newbies are old but I can take one look at a turn and it is "yes I can make it", "no way in the world I can make it", or "I might can make it". When it's a maybe, you better be real careful and watch or getting a spotter is best.

Never be afraid to shut her down in the middle of the road and ask for help if you can't safely make your next move. Sure, people are going to get mad but at least you won't tear anything up or hurt anybody.

 

The "finer points" can not be taught. These must be learned.

 

The famous Alfred E. Newman says, "Who, me?" when in a tight situation and something goes wrong. That's something "learned" through experience.

 

No worries OP ..in 87 my rookie year I bashed in the cab extender on a brand new truck , knocked down a stop sign and backed into a light pole so hard the dome fell out shattering on my trailer ...poopie happens .
