Okay i know a few of you.But Friday My Dad Was let go from Gibco Motor Express in Indiana. It was a dumb reason so i know they were looking to do it. That's not what has me scared.
My dad is almost 59 years old has almost 39years of experience.HE ran locally for 8 years.He don't even have a retirement.
Does anyone got any ideas where he can go that's a fairly decent company?He wants to get home on weekends for the fact my brother is handicap with CP.
I am in class for my CDL now and may team with him in 6 or 8 months to be there with him.
Any Help is appreciated. Our house Cars and credit are on the line as well as everyone elses in america. Its wrong how this world is going.
Scared What to do??

Sorry to here that, tell him to hang in there. With good family and friends support it will be okay with that much exp he should'nt have a problem going back to work. As far as retirement I'm in the same boat.

You're in a good lane though. AMPMWayne may have some ideas for you, he knows that state pretty well.

i only wish i had your problems;
i'm overworked to the point where, as i type this, my head is ####ed to the side at 45 degreees rested against the headrest much like Stephen Hawkiings. i now know has Stephen Hawkings feels. i would be unable to type this unless i set me body like this. i also have a fever.
There are places that i know of for sure that are hiring if you're willing to move.
PM me if you get desperate. -
IWX has a yard south of Indy, they have relay drivers that run from Indy to Springfield MO drop n Hook both ends. Maybe that will do you some good.Baack Thanks this.

Me too I hope we get better i am 20 and in CDL training at VU And Fire Fighter training. I can help with bills i hope i get my CDL. My dad may go to KC transport or W.W. transport.He got an application for bestway too.

The yard is located in Edinburgh Indiana. Exit 76 B. Go by there every single day. You said that he got let go from GibCo. That must mean that he operated a coal bucket. (Originally from Santa Claus, have a few friends that run the coal scene there). If he wants to go over the road there is Bestway in Vincennce Indiana. I never heard anything bad about them. There is OFS/Styline in Huntingburg (don't know if they are hiring). Jasper Engines in Jasper has their own fleet. Elmer Buchta in Otwell may not have a good reputation but chances are they might hire him. Good luck to you and your dad.

Bestway is a fine company. They do have dedicated runs that your dad may enjoy. But they don't pay all that great, yet it still pays the bills.
