Thank you, you told me the same thing a long time ago when I was too nervous the night before to sleep because I had orientation in the morning for Schneider Bulk, always respected you; I wouldn’t count this guy out yet, did my fair share of complaining before I found my way and he simply hasn’t found his yet
Scary side of trucking

Oh yeah most definitely after reading his post, hell after each answered question by a recruiter I’d check to make sure my wallet is still in my pocket several hundred miles apart

Dodge RAM is my favorite truck. The RAMs I looked at, I didn't want to spend that much.

I appreciate this. I'm 39, and feel that a lot of the bs rules and regs present now are a result of "the good old days." You can even apply that to fuel efficiency.
I'm pretty sure that - like a lot of industries - all of the negative talk is from older folks that would not be competitive in today's market.
Reds, 2 hours sleep, some Vitamin C and change for a payphone isn't old-school, tough, or even cool. It's not competitive. Hell, it's not something you want in a 150K piece of machinery with a 2 million liability policy.
Combine that with a much cheaper dollar and a flood of cheap immigrant labor and all I hear is something about as relevant as a Brontosaurus crying about being on the sidelines.hopeful eyes Thanks this. -

I thought immigrant work visas were for hard-to-find, technical professionals.
Point is, how many Americans do you see in rollovers vs guys who've been here 3 months and can't read road signs?
We're not all the same.
I like your idea of a 3 year apprenticeship for foreigners, paid for by them or their government, resulting in skilled hazmat teams, or something. But your generation invited a flood of low-IQ immigrants in, and your solution would punish the people who actually have to deal with your diverse utopia.hopeful eyes Thanks this.
