Scary side of trucking

Brand spanking new...

And I have wondered when Ford trucks EVER lost out to Chevy trucks.
Or any others.
Ford has been top dog for decades.

 

Care to expand on that

 

Iffen your gonna be taking home $600 a week fer awhile, why ya itchin to give the car guy and the insurance guy one of them checks every month, while the shiny new pickup is busy getting all dusty and covered with bird crap in the terminal lot while yer out on the road for a month or more at a time?

Just need something that always starts when ya turn the key, and go from home to the truck, or vicesy versy, dontcha?

 

You can get sent anywhere it depends on what kind of driving you are doing. If you are OTR then you can get sent literally anywhere. If you want OTR then get your passport so you can drive up to Alaska and Canada.

Dedicated runs means you are dedicated to a specific company. In my case they have a schedule that requires teams, but we stay parked at night during the week, but we drive 24/7 on the weekend.

Regional and local guys I imagine are different also.

But if you are starting with OTR then you really don't know what you are going to get. You could be driving days or nights, and you could be driving all the way up to Maine for all you know.

 

I guess you could blame God for your pain, since God is the one that gave you Life to begin with.

You could also blame your mother and father in their part in your life.
After all, if they had not fallen in love and did the deed you would not be here in this present lifetime to suffer so much pain.
Then again, in another life, you might have been much worse off than you are now.

Life is all about pleasure and pain, and you can't have one without the other.
You would not even know one, if not for the other.

Just like you could not know good from evil without both being in the mix.
And God, by definition, is the entire mixture to every degree.
