I will visit their terminal here in Lenoir City and will find out more... I like to visit the shop, talk to a few drivers, see the trucks... One thing I don't like is the opt-idle.... and the fact they don't allow more than 1200 watts power inverter... Seriously? I cook in the truck with an electric pot and not sure a 1200 watts power inverter will work well... My power inverter is 2000 watts...
My wife cooks on the truck and we use a 1000 watt electric skillet, Aroma slow cooker and everything work good on the inverter
Good to know. I cook all my food in the truck. Electric pot and slow cooker. When I park for 10 hr break, I do some cooking and have several things plugged in the 12v outlets pls lights and radio on... used to carry a blender and plugged in the 2000 watts power inverter but that would make it beep and stop sometimes. I was told 3000 watts power inverter would work better. Do you guys have a refrigerator too?
Our truck had a small fridge in it, and then we use a 21qt fridge/freezer for produce and a 35qt freezer for frozen items
With all that, I bet it pulls a lot of "juice" from the batteries... but truck never stops running... so it's constantly charging the batteries.
I'm dedicated Walmart driver in Cheyenne, so I pull both van and reefer. Both freezers only pull around 125 watts
