    Hey guys,

Im currently working in the oilfield, as a swamper on a picker truck.

I attended a SLB career fair on the weekend, and was called this morning to send in my resume/drivers abstract.

Sent that in, and now Im waiting for a letter that states my offer of employment.

That being said, I have a little bit of knowledge about oilfield trucking, but I want to find out how they are to work for etc etc.

    Thanks,
    Jason

Check out Sara, Oil Patch Trucker, Nate 980, there are some more but I cannot remember. If you go to canadian truck stop there is a guy there by the name pipefitter!! He is Awsome!! He has a ton of info on every company working in oil. So who are you swamping for? I am trying to break into the Sask area myself.

Ahem !!! Actually it's "Pipeman" and that's me. Young fella, if you can get on Schlumberger, do it! You will gain some experience that is required to really drive other equipment in the patch. Use them as a big stepping stone. They do spend a lot of time and money on yound it's well worth it.keep us posted as to what they offer you.

CEDA and CleanHarbors are busy year round. Yes, there is lots of overtime, probably average at least 12 hours a day aroubd rigs or working in the Fort MacMurray area plus living in good camps.
