So, what is it exactly that they make you do in the test that would push your heart rate so high? I saw nothing in their orientation video that indicated they were going to put you under anything more than modest stress. I saw that you had to pick up a weight (looked like a 25lb) in it and lift it chest high, and also you had to climb maybe 6-8 steps on a simulated catwalk and walk around on it.

What is it they make you do that's not in the video?

BTW my target according to the one posted above is going to 149 or 150, depending on whether they round up or down. I know for a fact that under extreme exertion I go above that, sometimes to 170. I just gave up a job where I routinely went up and down stairs with anywhere from 50-110 lbs. outdoors and in stifling summer heat and humidity. It was probably tougher than furniture moving since you were constantly going up and down stairs as opposed to once every few minutes or whatever. After fifteen years of that hauling a 75lbs. hose is going to be a piece of cake.

Make u walk a balance beam, lift some weights, squat, march, climb ladder, push and pull test...they say very few people actually fail it

Well, I'm not too worried, but people have been saying they are picky. We shall see.

Remember to take deep breaths and pace yourself, often people hold their breath when exerting themselves which will increase heart rate in order to replenish spent oxygen.

Only thing I worried about is the elevated heart rate. The rest of it is a snap, but I'm 54, and my resting rate is like 83, so the window is kinda small.

I'm currently in Houston, at Schneider Bulk orientation, I'm 58, just before getting here I pulled a muscle in my arm. I was worried that I was going to fail. I passed, it did hurt my arm a little bit, but just Breathe steadily and your heart rate should be fine. If you can need to, work you're arms with dumbbells for awhile.

    C & C and glenn71 Thank this.

I guess today starts your second week. Is this when you go out on the road with a trainer?
