I'm changing my job title from Truck Driver to Truck Parker.:biggrin_25523:

Just found out that the load assigned to me isn't supposed to pick up until tomorrow at 1100. Talked with the guy a bit and told me to call back at 1900 and see if it's ready tonight. DBL talked with the planners and there's no other loads available in this area so I have no choice but to wait. I have until Monday to go 450 miles. I hope they accept an early delivery.

I'm also the first driver on my board to transition and I got the first load.

I think I've made more money from Breakdown and Layover pay than I have from miles this week. I also haven't actually delivered anything yet. Everything has been relayed.

Thanks companyman. Ive been an O/O before and was profitable but that was back when freight was everywhere. I would eventually like to get authority and own freight. But need to get back out on the road and refresh my flatbed skills. I'd like to be able to get thru the house weekly even if just for a 10 hr break. Which trailer do you think will be the better for best freight drop deck or 48x102 or which? I am leaning towards the w900 and posted a couple pics of some i've seen on line. even posted a few volvo 880's.

Ibwould run far and fast from any volvo. I know the 880's look cool but its still a volvo. Theyrs.great new but the maintenance costs used will run you to the poor house fast. And there just isnt a big enough dealer network. Plus the volvo motors have two egr valves and theyre.$3500 to replace and its usually done yearly

in my opinion you cant go wrong with a pacar either pete or kw. Well except that pos t2000

The rust colored w900 is cool. Nice classic paint pattern too. The green one has a roof cap which you wont need with a flat.
