No load yet but I'm sitting at Johnsons Corner Truck Stop in Johnstown CO. Free WiFi! And they have some darn good food!

 

Drove 624 miles today from West Memphis OC to the Pilot in Napoleon OH, still had 30 mins to drive but no where to park past here to my drop.

Deliver at 0700 tomorrow 90 miles away, and have a pre-assignment going to Goshen NY tomorrow.

Should get my load home after that. For some reason they ALWAYS send me toward NJ when I have TAH coming, I guess it is easy to get a load towards home from there.

Aren't you already near home? I'm not sure what part of Ohio you live in Jake but I guess they think you wouldn't feel right about going home till they sent you to paradise first, lol.

 

LOL yea, I am 2 hours from home, but my last day of work isn't till Friday, so they are gonna send me to Jersey and have me bring a load back.

You would think, since most companies are paranoid about whether drivers are actually gonna come back after home time, that they would send you some where nice right before you go home, instead of the arm pit of America LOL.

 

Well, if only the WiFi wasn't slow as #### I would be able to watch some netflix, lol.

I finally got a preassignment. Pick up in Henderson CO (43 miles from here), and then have a 3 hour live unload in Denver (12 miles).

This load came from New Mexico.... I hate getting ###### ### loads that have been dropped as a relay, or at least give them to a local guy or something. I switched to all 48 to get longer runs, not sit around waiting for ###### short runs...

 

Oh, and it doesn't deliver until 0700-1200 tomorrow..

 

Lol, yeah I understand about not liking that area. I was born and raised in Queens. It's definitley another world compared to the rest of the country. I left 20 years ago and would never move back.

I'm with you on that, they should have local drivers deal with crap like that and keep OTR guys rolling.

 

Hey, my WHOLE FAMILY is from Jersey, I know it well, and I hate it LOL

Makes me happy that I was the first in my family NOT born there, I was born the year they moved to Ohio.(although I think I was conceived in Jersey LOL)
