and now I'm being told that this load that's supposed to be ready at 1800 for pickup isn't going to be ready until 2000-2030. No chance of making it home tonight, no chance of finding parking at the 1 truck stop on my way. I really hate the 14 hour rule!

I'm digging it. after what I thought was going to be a rather light 4 out of 6 days out , so I can attend my GF's daughters graduation, I am now sitting under a load that pays close to 800 from seville to west memphis. it delivers on tuesday latest. SO , I get to be home for the graduation AND I'm not screwed out of any work days. IN fact, I pick up one, cuz they'll need to get me back home at about 600 miles.

Ho hum, I love it when you are on your way home, and the load they give you delivers 70 miles from home, and when you deliver it, you will have 30 minutes left on your 14!!!!
TAH will have to wait till the morning I guess, at least they gave me a dispatch home so I don't have to worry about screwing around with any loads tomorrow! -
Enjoy your TAH. -
And in Schneiders defense, I am not blaming them for not getting me home, my live load that should have lasted 2 hours lasted 4, and then there was 20 miles of stop and go traffic on I80 going thru Chicago to the I65 interchange.
If not for those 2 things, I would have had time to get home, it just sucks, especially since I was so looking forward to getting there after being out 5 weeks. -
Yep as long as u have hours. Safe and legal.

So I got all my NAT issues sorted out last night. I woke up at 4:30am and still didn't have a pre-assignment. I called, they assured me my NAT was showing, and that they'd give a note to a planner. I have gone through this same process about 4 times now, and it's 12:16pm and I'm on hold with them, again.
I was told by one guy that the freight must be soft in Texas, and that there are others waiting for loads. Does this happen often where you're sitting, waiting for 8+ hours to just get a pre-assignment? -
Not sure. But I'm sitting 3 hours from the house. With a load that can't p/u til Monday.
You can have it. I won't be here to pick it upFemale Driver Thanks this. -
