Just finished my first week out on the road. I liked everything except that 46,800 lbs of water I hauled on one of the trips. After unloading it, I felt like a $%*&@!# NASCAR getting to my next load.

 

It used to b the pilot before they moved it.

Well, stopped by the OC today to fill out the paperwork for a rider to go out with me tomorrow. Got it filled out(my son is coming out with me) and my DBL got it all taken care of.

He calls me an hour later to let me know that the load he got me does not pick up until 2pm tomorrow, so don't come in early, but it is only a few inches on the map for the delivery. He got me a nice load from Columbus, OH to Fontana, CA!!!

Never been further west that Denver, any suggestions for the drive? Especially since it will be the first time driving over the rockies, plus my 13 year olds first time in a truck!

Hmmm... Showed up to pu a load. Bill says it weighs 54696 lbs. lol doubt this will scale out. Time to have fun.

 

Wait til they send you to Big Island, VA to pick up a paper load LOL. Now that's fun.

 

Really depends on how you want to go. You actually can run to St Louis and take 44 to OKC, then 40 to Barstow, Ca and down 15. If you want to cross the Rockies, its a beautiful drive if you hit it during the day. Also UT is incredible as well on 70. If you take 70 you will dead end into 15 and go through Vegas too.
