I think I know the answer to that question

I am trying to find out more info on schneider run of 2weeks on 1 week off compared to 2 weeks and 2 days doesnt seem like u would make to much more and the days off would be better with 2weeks on 1 week off only thing is slip seating how much of a pay diff really is it does annyone know
-
Well, do the math. You'll obviously make less when you have 1 week off vs 2 days. I guess you could figure making about $100/day out starting, maybe more in good weeks, maybe less on a day occasionally. If you have more time off you'll obviously have no earnings for those days off. 2 days off you'll have assigned equipment vs slip seating in the position you're talking about.

true i was trying to figure up the math about that the way i see it that would be like 700 a week if you maintaitned that 100 a day so for running 3 weeks would be 2100 the other only be like a 500 a month diff kind a a chunk there but might save a little on food 2 week on 1 week off maybe do you know if schneider would let me take the truck home if i was assigned a truck and went 2 weeks on 2 days off
-
Well, seeing that you're apparently in Alba, TX, you wouldn't be able to bring the truck home. You're close enough to the Dallas operating center for them to require you to park the truck there (it's right off I-20 between I-35E and I-45). I think you have to be at least 100 miles from an OC or a drop yard in order to bring the truck home with you.
You'd also figure that you'd make on average about $600-800 more per month running the 2 day off schedule vs. week off
Obviously, having a week off straight is nice, especially if you have a family -
Well thanks for the info I am still trying to figure out how 600-800 more its like 2 days off compared to the 7 only a 5day diff which is like 500 a day which in granted you could drive more or longer on either run and get more miles and i do got a family so yeah the home time would be great but so would the money i still got time though to make a decision...

I thought it was 50 miles I live in Chattanooga I have 1 drop lot that's less then 3 miles from my house and another 1 for tankers that's maybe 15 miles from the house and they always let me park the truck in the front yard

Well i talked with the recruiter bout that might be up to them but most cases she did tell me 100 miles or less If i went took the route making more money could i always switch to the other run with more home time at a later time?
-
Well I figured on the 2 week on, 1 week off schedule, you'd be off about 10-11 days a month (on average). You'd be off about 5 per month on average on the 12 on 2 off schedule. So yeah, $500 could be correct, but I figure at least $600 probably on average. $800 might had been a bit high, but especially once you get a pay increase the difference in pay would also increase.
