Went to leave after home time yesterday only to find that my truck had no power even while bobtail. Drove 10 miles on roads because it couldn't get up to speed for the interstate. Went back later that night and found out that something happened to the turbo. Went home after that.
Got a call form my DBL this morning to find out what happened. Told him and he said to come down to the yard. He had me take a truck up to the shop for it's PM and then bring mine back to the yard. Just before I left he handed me a little piece of paper and said this is your new truck. Couldn't believe the number. Went from my old 2006 Century to a 2013 Cascadia with 15k miles on it. Haven't been able to get the smile off my face all day. I'm heading to Gary tonight for it's first PM tomorrow evening.

Just finished my 611 mile day. Pulled into this rest area with exactly 3 minutes left of drive time. Luckly I found a parking spot on the off ramp, the rest areas jam packed.

I was stoked when I got mine and it had 1600 on being used as the donkey to haul the other 2 trucks to the yard from the dealer. Congrats!

Well just had a hose clamp on my turbo snap off while going up the grapevine on I5 south. Waiting for roadside as I could barely pull it in 3rd, my temp jumped up, and my oil pressure dropped as soon as it blew.

I have had my eyes on Schneider and will be graduating cdl school in about a week. A Schneider recruiter came to the school and informed us that we would be paid on Household Mover Miles or HHG. I know that it is not actual miles. I have heard before how that really screws with your miles and are shorted by quite a decent percentage of miles because it is zip code to zip code. Does anyone know about this?
-
Case in point, I ran a load from Columbus OH to Fontana CA, the paid miles were 1200, but I only drove 1134, so I made out. Now the load I am on the paid miles are 286, but I am gonna drive 299. It just depends. -
Subtract about ten percent every trip you make.
