I got a raise at 6 months. Went from 27 to 33cpm. Got off the company per diem plan at the same time. Never made a bonus. I got a message telling me I lost the second quarter because of 47.8% idle time.
Oddly enough my paychecks were less after the switch because lately I've only been getting about 1800-2000 miles a week. Not sure what happened.
Today I'm sitting in Van Buren, OH. 350 miles from home in Milwaukee. I have 8 hours left on my 11 and 10 on my 14. No assignment yet. I'm hoping it's something close. Usually I get sent to the P&G in Lima from here and that would then put me out of range of home tonight.

I hear ya, I delivered in Marlboro MA this afternoon, got no assignment. Drove to a little truck stop and sat. Called me DBL about an hour later. They have a load, but haven't sent it yet because I can't pick it up till tomorrow, but at least it gets me out of the NE, 1000 mile load to Chicago, delivers Tuesday AM, and I will be out of hours on Sunday, so I will take a 34 at Gary OC and be all set, worked out perfectly.
Sometimes I REALLY love my DBL -
You on choice right? Hows you liking it so far?
-
No complaints so far I just have to get used to picking loads and knowing which areas have better freight. I've booked been able to book loads 3 days out. so far first week I did 3 loads Thursday-monday was able to get a 34 reset in and take home 1266$. this week will be a total of 4 loads I will get home on the 29th and roll back out on the 31st and bring home a lil over 1600$

Do they automatically take out your fuel?
-
U get an email on Wednesday with all your loads and pay on your settlement it says "net" amount then when u get paid they take out fuel, insurance, maintenance and general funds And the truck payment. The first 3 weeks they don't take out for the truck payment
