Just reading this and from experience in this area be prepared to wait for at least 5 months from what the lady at Dallas told me for your first payment. It will be a nice one though. 5 months at the max for the GI bill rate do the math. If you get told something else let me know and I will keep everyone informed on when first check comes in. I am on the apprenticeship program right now. I heard it was 3 months from someone else but with all the guys coming home and backlog at VA that has been increased. Keep me posted. Thanks.

In theory; sometimes loads that end on Saturday will go on that wdeks check, sometimes the next. Or you can have what happened to me a couple of weeks ago - 4they days on one check 11the on the next. The wonders of computer logic.

 

Novi, MI, at the CVS DC. Thankfully the yard dog here had an idea for where I could stay for my DOT since I had all of 4 minutes left on my 14. Next time I'll put on my big girl panties and tell my DBL I simply do not have the time for a load, no matter how hard I'm pushed into it.

Sitting at the Freightliner dealer a few blocks from the KC drop yard.

2 days ago my CEL came on. Some PC Data Error. Called SEM and they said as long as the truck is running fine to just keep rolling with it and drop it off at Truck Country in Oak Creek, WI when I go for my TAH this weekend. This morning on my way to my PU in KC, KS the other Yellow engine light turned on. Checked it when I got to the shipper and I had a DEF Dosing Unit fault. Apparently it has something to do with the aftertreatment system for the exhaust.

Right now I'm sitting in the lounge at the dealer. If I don't hear anything by 1600CST I'm going to be getting a hotel for the night. As long as they can get it fixed tonight I can still make it home by Friday for my TAH.

Truck has 28,264 miles on it. I hope this doesn't turn into another of the cases of a brand new truck spending it's life in the shop.

4 minutes? That's plenty of extra time.
