I'm at my last drop at Lowes. It's on the north bound side of 35 north of 410. When I'm done here, I'm gonna pick up pallets out of HEB and back to the house. (west of Hillsboro). Do this same exact thing every Monday. Gotta get motion lotion at the Pilot in New Braunsfels.

Well, I sure did get out of the Midwest. Ran to KY, I'm in TX now, and headed to Denver, CO. I didn't think I'd ever be sent this far West. Kinda neat. Thinking about changing my route plan a bit so I can catch that little corner of NM on my way to CO so I can check off a state I've never been to. It's been a while since I've done that.

Water loads from Nestle? Yep. However, I lucked out with a 37k load.

I've pretty much made up my mind - I'm going to buy my own truck this winter and go on the Choice Board, assuming you can do that and not lease with Schneider. If anything, I'm getting my own truck. This being a company's b itch thing just doesn't sit well with me.

Its stupid if your breathing rate goes under a certain amount or u stop breathing in the middle of the study they will wake u up and bam you automatically are diagnosed with sleep apnea you get a machine and mask for free they will send u replace parts and mask and if you've been with the company for over a year you will not have to pay a pro rated amount if u decide to leave the company u have to also have a 70% compliance rate of 4 hours a day on the machine

Believe me...you would rather do the sleep study while with SNI than you would most other places. It was a life-saving benefit for me, and I am ever appreciative of it. Didn't cost me one dime in the 4 1/2 years I was on CPAP while at SNI. First machine, then the second machine, and a box of new supplies sent just like clockwork twice a year. This is something I still miss about the Pumpkin.

My wife and I are thinking about buying a truck through Schneider. It gets to a point where you can't make anymore as a company driver. Though I'm at the top of the pay scale and make 60k a year, eventually I want to make more as cost of living goes up. If I do, I would probably expand to multiple trucks. So I am gonna continue to watch y'all on how y'all are doing buying yalls rigs.

Ive been doing lots of studying here lately about buying trucks through Schneider. Most ppl who talk crap about buying through Schneider has never worked for Schneider at all. I know all about the screw jobs at Prime and CR England and all that. You don't get that negative vibe from the SNI plans.

I wouldn't want to finance through any freight company. I don't want to HAVE to make a weekly payment that's as high as the folks whom I spoke to at Green Bay when I was going through training. There were a lot of people at the same hotel who had their pretty, shiny trucks parked in that lot, and I think I spoke to each and every one of them about their payments.

I can see it being more ideal than a company driver, but what if something happens and you don't make a payment or two? That's what I really want to know. That said though, I am fortunate enough to not have to lease or finance through anybody. I still need to do more research, but I'm thinking I'd be definitely at an advantage. What it truly comes down to is that if I can make more, and have less restrictions, and take time off as I see fit, why wouldn't I?
