No, you do not need a laptop. All of the computer stuff can be done at the operating center. If you had a lap top it would help but you don't need one.

    Hey all,

    I'm trying to:

    1. Choose an OC to train from...
      1. West Memphis
      2. Nashville
      3. Dallas
      4. Indianapolis
      5. Corporate

    2. Would like to know if the Qualcom will get me where I need to go, or should I invest in a Rand McNally TND 720?

As always, I truly appreciate your time and responses!

Nakmuay, if someone comes into the Choice Program with their own truck (not financed through SNI, and paid for), does SNI require a certain amount to be on reserve for break downs and fuel? Does SNI provide a good rate on insurance, or at all? Whom should I call and get the skinny on all these questions? I'm about 90% sure I'm going to make this leap in January or February and need to start seriously researching it.

    1. I prefer Dallas cuz I'm biased to home.
    2. A road atlas works just fine.

    OldRoadie Thanks this.

Nashville isn't an operating center it has a small yard and a dbl office with a bathroom and a table/tiny break room I think the best personally is Indianapolis second is edwardsville is small and not a lot of drivers park there I don't consider that one a fully operational oc like the big ones

    OldRoadie Thanks this.
