From the lil bit I know u don't need a reserve for fuel or breakdown you can put a certain amount aside each week for a maintenance fund and if repairs go over that it will just show a negative amount but u might wanna check on that if u come in with your own truck your fuel comes out of your weekly settlement check I do know that if u buy a truck elsewhere it has to be to sni specs and insurance is good from what I hear compared to others haven't really compared to any other companies

I was with choice program, I would not finance a truck through SNI. It's best to find financing some other place. I had my own authority before i went to SNI. The choice program is good for a 1 trk operation. When i get back from afghanastain i will return to SNI. Also, my truck will be paid for when i get back. If you are comfortable working as a company driver, i would stay a co driver. If, i wasnt in the military i probably still be a co driver. Hometime is the key for me. If you have any question feel free to ask. There are plenty threads on the O/O side , dealing with Choice program.Female Driver Thanks this.

Charlotte is the best one. But u don't choose SNI choose which ever is closet to your home. I prefer the good ole fashion road atlas and pay phone for my directions.

@moosc,
Thanks for the reply. Why Charlotte over Corporate? -
I am not comfortable as a company driver. Not at all. I love truck driving, and the only things I dislike about it could be solved with my own truck. My ultimate goal will be having my own authority, and my husband being a broker. I don't want to take too many leaps too fast though.
I will not finance through anybody, or get a loan - will buy the truck outright. I have a good chunk of money right now, and then every winter I get checks for each species of crab I have fishing quota for gets fished. I should be able to start out pretty darn golden without having to make truck payments. -

34.5 miles west of Edwardsville; driveway to driveway.
I'm talking to my SNI recruiter Tuesday/Wednesday to finish up the details of where I will be training. The information she's given me so far has been truthful and accurate. She's asked "where do you want to train"... Told her I'd research and get back to her. -
Send some of those crabs my way crab meat sandwiches are thee best

When I lived in WA, and my dad was still alive and fishing that quota, he'd often send me down boxes of frozen crab and salmon by plane or boat. Those were the days! Now my dad has passed, and I live in Wisconsin. I'm so bummed in the free and fresh seafood department.

OldRoadie, I ran out of the Edwardsville OC for about 6 months. The folks there are good people. They've expanded the personal vehicle parking so finding a spot to park isn't nearly the challenge as it used to be. I did the 12 out 2 home deal until they switched over to that new workflow system and I'd still be with them if they had not gone to it. It was a decent gig till workflow came along so I had to cut em loose.
