I just left West Memphis, AR OC. They have a pretty decent cafeteria and a somewhat full gym room of equipment. Showers of course, plus a working truck wash lol.

It's more like a leaky hose that somebody threw up in the rafters of an empty garage.

My wife AND yours, will be the first to tell you, using the rinse cycle to clean your clothes....is NOT considered washing them.

It doesn't work on trucks either...

I am having a similar experience but in Dallas. Waited for truck to be finished in Maintenance. 2 day ordeal. Then sent message in letting know I was ready and was told push NAT to morning because freight is "soft". Still waiting. Hope to get outta here today.

That was the theme last Wednesday at the OC. DBL complaining about the number of teams they had sitting...no freight.

Well...thought I'd tell my story here. I have not been behind the wheel of a truck since September 4th...not for lack of wanting to.

I let them find me a team driver. The person I was teamed with could not drive...very unsafe. Not sure how this driver passed the road test...especially the backing. So they finally routed us into Charlotte and broke up the team. I was given a rental car to get back home. Then I sat at home for a week and a half waiting for a truck. Was finally sent to Laredo to pick up a truck that I was told was ready. I get down here and the truck doesn't have an ECM. They get the new ECM in and it isn't programmed...so they send it to Freightliner to be programmed. Get it back and it still isn't right. The truck will run for 30-45 seconds, derate and then shut off. So I was told on Friday that they were sending the ECM and the old ECM back to Freightliner. I get back this morning (Monday) after sitting in the hotel all weekend (which is a whole OTHER story in itself) to find, at 11:30am that they STILL had not sent the ECM back to Freightliner and that the truck won't be ready until at least tomorrow....IF they get it right this time. I'm getting hassled about moving my stuff out of an empty cubicle in the front office by this time.

So...we are now going on THREE WEEKS that I have been waiting for a truck....all because I turned in an unsafe driver.

At this point, I have filed for unemployment for the time that they have stated that they won't pay me (Sept 5th through last Thursday when I got to Laredo) as I was ready, able and willing to work and was told they couldn't put me to work due to lack of equipment (involuntary temporary layoff) and filled out an application with another carrier for a dedicated run.

I'm fed up...this is beyond ridiculous....

I was told that I get $100 for the day. Not sure how that works out if I get a load though.
