They should be letting you take the tractor home at that kind of distance. I would think you would be saving more money by renting a space in a local storage yard than paying for gas to drive that far back and forth. Then you wouldn't have to drive as far to find out you aren't available.
Also, call in and see what they have your NAT set to before heading for the truck. If it's where you want it then you don't have to worry. Otherwise they can update your NAT over the phone if you aren't at the truck.

I was only needed at the shipper for 5 hours. I still get the full $100. Not bad. Now I pick up a load in DunKirk, NY tomorrow morning and take it to Oklahoma City.
And ya know that finding plastic spoons at a truck stop is pretty dang hard to do, lol. Awesome score though! -
So this is day 3 of using my bunk heater, and day three of epic nose bleeds. Think there's a connection? I haven't had a nose bleed in years (although I used to get them often).
Tonight I soaked a bath towel with a thing of bottled water, and hung it from the pull out desk. I hope some humidity is what I need. I would hate to have to do this all fall/winter/spring long though. -
Sry to hear about you nose bleeds

Check your exhaust tube on the heater. Make sure some rocket scientist hasn't placed it where it could get smashed between the cab and frame.
Minute traces of exhaust in the cab can cause all kinds of physical problems. Monoxide poisoning is only fatal in large doses. Smaller amounts reek havoc with your system.
Crack your windows slightly to help with humidity issues. -
Feel your pain. Hate Sysco in Suffolk VA. I cannot prove it but went in when the light turned green and sat for 45 min waiting for bills in their waiting area. As soon as I walked back out to the truck for something he calls on radio and says paperwork is ready. Was extremely hot at that point because I could have made it to a truckstop for the night. Had to rush to the drop yard at Norfolk since it was closest place to park since I could not park there for 3 more hours to reset clock and drive to next drop 3 hours away.

Yes had the same problem in vehicles in the military that had fuel heaters. Dry Air. Might try putting them near the vent if possible or turn it down a little so it is not so hot. Also try just a bowl or cup of water so it evaporates. Just my two cents.
