I log mine on duty for 5 min. The only inspection that doesn't require on duty time are tiv's, from what I've always been told.

So I take a 34 and it was up at 1600 today. I got my preassignment an hour before my 34 was up, saying I was to pick up at 1600 TOMORROW. Really? I messaged SS about me having to wait almost 24 hours AFTER my 34 and they said "that's all we got for you".

Can I at least get layover pay for this BS?

I setup my xm radio by using the crappy antanea that came with vehicle dock. I put it on top my cab like someone mentioned and works pretty good, thanks. I have been using the FM connect method and it is annoying me. It looks like I have a decent radio in my '06 but the aux slot is only USB. There is the headphone port but I doubt that would double as an auxiliary jack. I can't seem to find any xm/Sirius aux USB cables or adapters. I have a PM next week will ask the mechanics at French camp they seem cool. Also, how anal are they with "no alterations of company trucks" like mounting #### with duct tape or suction cups or even the big antennae on the side mirrors since they don't hurt the truck. I want to get a suction cup mount for radio and iPhone like I saw someone had on here. I just don't want to get yelled at :)

PS I think I have been to Grandview WA more than my home OC and I am 1 month rookie with my own truck! Yay I have 4 DPs in OR tomorrow at Walmart stores. Tapatalk is cool!

I have only seen one kind of radio in the trucks... so assuming yours is just like the rest, that AUX/headphone jack will work. That is how I have my Sirius set up. I can't stand the FM connect method either.

Wow so easy. I can not believe I never tried that haha. Thank you. This is so much better than FM connect! I was so convinced that was only a headphone jack I feel dumb :)

FM connecting sucks butt. Static makes me cringe. I'm glad your Sirius works now!

I get to go into the Charlotte OC tomorrow morning and drop a loaded trailer that I am picking up in the morning. Then I get to sit around and see how long it will take the shop to replace at least one bad fuel injector and some EGR issues on my truck. The poor thing could only do 25 in the mountains through WV today with a 43K load and the orange check engine stays on anytime the engine is on. I called the shop staff to be sure it was ok to drive as long it did not derate so much that it was unsafe and they said it was ok. I am hoping they decide to fix her and not scrap her, because I have grown attached to my 820K truck. Here's hoping for the best. LOL

The no alterations to company trucks thing only really applies to cutting plastic or drilling holes to mount stuff. If you can unbolt something and remove it you will be fine. Most people in the older trucks use the antenna mirror mounts.

The suction cup mounts for stuff on the windshield are fine. Just make sure none of it makes too big of a blind spot that can hide a car or people.

I have a few wires the run under the passenger side door sill plate. It uses 3 t20 torx screws to attach.

I also unbolted the self in the TV cabinet of my Cascadia to wrap some rubber tarp straps around it to good down the base for my TV mount. When I move out of thus truck I'll just undo the tarp straps and take the mount out and leave the straps behind. They only cist like a dollar each and aren't worth another hour of fighting loctite to get them back.

Just delivered my 900 mile run in Albany OR at 22:00. I hope it is included in this weeks check because if it is I should finally get my first check for over a grand. Drove 3100 miles this week plus I'll have a 900 mile load roll over from last week.
